All over the world, churches are mobilising themselves and their local communities to bring transformation to the lives of people living in poverty.
We call it integral mission – the indivisible proclamation and demonstration of the gospel that results in transformation of the whole person.
Through Tearfund’s Connected church programme, your church can be part of a worldwide network of 100,000 churches working to see people released from material and spiritual poverty.
We’re currently in discussion with some of our overseas church partners, exploring ways we could facilitate deeper relationships for churches in the UK that want to support churches overseas.
We’re trialling a new concept in church relationships, that would see your church, for example, linked with a cluster of church-based projects in another country that are engaging with poverty in their locality.
As well as committing to support their work financially and in prayer, you’d be able to benefit from church-to-church communication through a web meeting-place specially developed by Tearfund – a place where you can exchange news, information, prayer needs and photos. Your whole church can share in this – and be encouraged and inspired.
